What breaks without it
Drama needs faces you recognise across cuts. Any drift in age, wardrobe or hairline and the audience stops reading performance and starts reading artefacts.
How the run is built
- 01Write the cast into the continuity block with the detail a costume supervisor would use.
- 02Shoot the scene as real coverage: establisher, single, reverse, insert.
- 03Keep one seed for the whole scene, and change it only when you change location.
The part you write once
This block is prepended to every shot in the run before it reaches the model. It is the reason shot four still has the same cast, the same room and the same grade as shot one. Edit it and the whole sequence moves together.

The part you edit per shot
Shot one is directed from text. Every shot after it opens on the previous shot's final frame, so the cut lands on continuous motion.
