What breaks without it

Exhibit video runs for eight hours a day beside an object. It has to match the object, it has to loop without a visible seam, and it cannot be re-commissioned every time the panel text is revised.

How the run is built

  • 01Reconstruct the setting once and hold it for the entire loop.
  • 02Open the first shot on the last shot's frame so the loop point disappears.
  • 03Cut a 9:16 version for the handrail screens from the same continuity block.
Continuity block

The part you write once

This block is prepended to every shot in the run before it reaches the model. It is the reason shot four still has the same cast, the same room and the same grade as shot one. Edit it and the whole sequence moves together.

A Bronze Age riverside settlement at dusk: timber round-houses with thatched roofs, a low stone hearth, a wooden landing stage. Two figures in undyed wool tunics. Low sun through river mist, firelight as the only warm source, muted earth palette.

Shot list

The part you edit per shot

Shot one is directed from text. Every shot after it opens on the previous shot's final frame, so the cut lands on continuous motion.

  1. 01[Pedestal up]

Rising from the water's edge to reveal the settlement and the smoke above it.

  2. 02[Tracking shot]

Following a figure carrying a clay vessel along the landing stage.

  3. 03[Push in]

Close on the hearth as a second figure sets the vessel beside the fire.

  4. 04[Pedestal down]

Descending back to the water's edge, mist closing over the view.
